“Must Be The Music” The Audition Story So Far @Sky1Music #MBTM

The countdown to the first Must Be The Music live semi-final has begun. This summer, talented musicians and singers have been making the most of their chance to impress Dizzee Rascal, Sharleen Spiteri and Jamie Cullum at auditions up and down the country.

Hackney Empire in London, Bridgewater Hall in Manchester and Usher Hall in Edinburgh became host to the crucial auditions, where Fearne Cotton introduced the acts and the Judges sifted through the promising talent to find 15 semi-finalists with the potential to make it big with their self-written music.

The worlds of Twitter and Facebook have been buzzing with excitement about the auditions. Here are a few tweets and comments from those who were there to watch the action unfold.

@jamiecullumfans gives his view on Jamie’s role as a judge: “As @jamiecullum tends to think outside the box and crosses the musical spectrum himself as a musician, I think he will be looking for versatility, and someone with a real passion for the music, not for fame. I was at the Edinburgh auditions! The set was very smart! Should be a good show! #MBTM”
