IT WAS the start of Jamie Cullum’s first UK tour in four years, but there was no sign of cobwebs.

Kicking off with a cover of Rihanna’s Please Don’t Stop The Music, his voice was strong and smooth.

Twentysomething, Get Your Way, Wheels and his version of Radiohead’s High And Dry were standouts, while his one-man take on Pharrell Williams’ Frontin’ showed a funkier side to his fierce talent.

For the first of two encores, Jamie decamped to the aisles for Justin Timberlake’s Cry Me A River, which had the seated audience on their feet, before finishing at the piano for the beautiful Gran Torino. What a night.
