Coming up tomorrow night on Jamie’s show…..Tune-Yards

Jamie features Tune-Yards in session at the BBC Maida Vale Studios.

Tune-Yards is the creation of American musician Merrill Garbus, who takes her influences from Afro-beat, jazz and traditional folk.

With a band consisting of two saxophonists and live voice and drum looping, Tune-Yards are an exciting group to hear perform live.

He plays highlights from across BBC Radio 2's live music output from the weekend, including live tracks from Georgie Fame, Madeleine Peyroux and Laura Mvula. Jamie also plays music from his favourite artists performing at the festival such as Ravi Coltrane, Sons Of Kemet and Marius Neset and catches up with a couple of them backstage.
