The Pursuit Album Review In The Highlander

Jamie Cullum’s “The Pursuit” is a unique blend of jazz, pop and rock that weaves seamlessly between genres and musical influences.

One tune is a cover of Rihanna’s “Don’t Stop the Music,” which is entwined with heavy jazz influences. Slowed down and made acoustic, a solo on piano begins the track before Cullum’s raspy vocals combine with the instrumental melody, making it an easily recognizable but entirely original cover.
