FORMER plus-sized model Sophie Dahl slunk into the Sydney night on Monday to take in her husband’s jazz show at The Basement.
Dahl is married to British performer Jamie Cullum, who performed gigs in town last night and Monday as part of an Australia tour.
The pair is enjoying a delayed honeymoon in Australia after marrying in England in January.
Dahl, who when last here a decade ago graced the catwalk as a size 14 model for designer Charlie Brown, hung back to let Cullum walk in first.
She was wearing ballet flats – apparently because she is sensitive to the fact her husband, at 5ft 4ins, is seven inches shorter.
Once inside, the granddaughter of Roald Dahl – who has reinvented herself as an author after ditching her modelling career – hung back behind the stage, timidly avoiding the limelight but clearly enjoying the gig.
