Toronto, March 3, 2010 – The Radio Marketing Bureau is excited to announce the 2010 Crystal Awards Gala musical line-up. This year’s show features two internationally top-selling artists: Canadian urban pop recording star Karl Wolf and English jazz-pop singer/songwriter Jamie Cullum.
Montreal-based Wolf has made a name for himself with chart toppers Africa (a cover of Toto’s 1982 hit), Carrera and Yalla Habibi, on his latest album, “Nightlife”. Originally from Lebanon, he received nominations for a Juno Award, multiple nominations for Much Music Video Awards and picked up an MTV Europe Award for Best Arabia New Act. Karl Wolf will get the crowd on their feet, dancing and enjoying some of the finest music this country has to offer.
Jamie Cullum is a cross-over artist with roots firmly planted in jazz. A vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, his live shows are known for their energy and huge genre-bending variety. A veteran of Coachella, Glastonbury and South by Southwest, Cullum has also collaborated with artists such as Lady Gaga, Joy Division, Justin Timberlake and Massive Attack on a variety of remarkable projects. His latest album, “The Pursuit” features “I’m All Over It”, “Wheels” and “Don’t Stop the Music” (yes, a Rihanna cover). Prepare for the unexpected, this should be a show for the ages.
