Jamie Cullum: Not many jazz artists make it onto the Billboard 200 these days.
But Jamie Cullum does.
The British pianist’s ability to blend pop rock with jazz has led to a string of successes, most recently capped by his November album, “The Pursuit,” which hit No. 42 on the Billboard 200 this month.
Critical plaudits have also been heaped on Cullum. He earned a Golden Globe nomination alongside Clint Eastwood for their work on the title track to the director’s 2008 movie, “Gran Torino.”
Now, he’ll come to Seattle for a show, as he tours behind “The Pursuit.”
7:30 p.m. Sunday, Moore Theatre, 1932 Second Ave., Seattle; $33; stgpresents.org or 877-784-4849.
